Breton library
The Library holds the largest collection of Breton language material outside Brittany. From 1946–7 onwards a regular and rich stream of Breton material came to the Library, including the collections of Roparz Hémon and François Jaffrennou, ‘Taldir’. Following the Second World War they were arrested and charged with collaborating with the Germans and spying against France. Both lived in exile, never to return to Brittany.
