E S Curtis and Carleton Watkins
Curtis and Watkins were two photographers who captured the magnificent views and cultures of western America. In 1909 the Library acquired a photographic album of views of the gigantic and untouched country of Yosemite, western America. These were photographed by Carleton E Watkins about 1861. Between 1907 and 1930 E S Curtis travelled America capturing the life of the native Indians.
