David Lloyd George

David Lloyd George was Wales’ greatest international leader. As Chancellor of the Exchequer he introduced measures such as the pension scheme, 1908 and National Insurance, 1911. He became Prime Minister in 1916 and is best remembered for his role in the First World War. Few British leaders have left such a lasting legacy. The Library is home to seven archive groups relating to the life of David Lloyd George.
