The coalmines: Notice of accident - Gresford disaster

An explosion at Gresford coalmine, near Wrexham, on Saturday, 22 September 1934 killed 265 miners. This is one of the worst pit disasters recorded in Wales. The mine was so dangerous it had to be sealed, with the bodies still inside. This volume records accidents at the pit and lists those miners killed in 1934.
